The Hanging Closet Freshener is a disposable, non-electric moisture absorber. It is combined with a fresh scent to protect against damage caused by excess moisture. This Closet Freshener absorbs musty odors caused by stagnant air that creates fresher, healthier air. It is non-toxic, septic safe and friendly to the environment.

Thanks to the white pellets DampRid brings humidity (excess moisture) to an ideal and safe level. The white pellets will not dry the air out to a level where damage can transpire to your plants, animals, and fabrics. Once the optimal level is reached, 40%-50% relative humidity, DampRid slows down, and will restart when necessary..

How It Works

Once the white pellets are exposed to the air, the pellets absorb excess moisture and liquefy into a brine (salt solution), which drips into the bottom of the Disposable Room Freshener Tray. What to expect:

Week 1* - Excess moisture is absorbed into the white pellets. The white pellets will begin to harden and form a solid mass. You may not see liquid dripping into the bottom of the tray at this stage.

Weeks 2, 3 & 4* - Excess moisture will most likely be dripping in the bottom of the tray. The bottom of the tray will be about 1⁄2 full of liquid. Approximately 1⁄2 of the white pellets will be gone.

Weeks 5, 6 & 7* - During these weeks all of the white pellets will liquefy and the bottom of the tray will be full of liquid. At this time discard the entire Disposable Room Freshener and replace with a new one.

Where To Use It

The Disposable Room Freshener is designed to absorb excess moisture in areas (with limited air exchange) where electrical dehumidifiers are not convenient. DampRid is ideal in small-enclosed spaces.

The following are some areas (but not limited to) where DampRid can be used: Closets, Bathrooms/Laundry Rooms, Bedrooms, Vacation Homes, Basements, Cabinets, Offices/Supply Closets, Gym Lockers, Storage Spaces, and many more.

Directions For use

1. Remove clear plastic film from top of Hanging Closet Freshener.
2. Place in desired location.
3. When all of the white pellets have dissolved, discard and replace Hanging Closet Freshener.
